Are you looking for motivation, inspiration and tips on cultivating emotional awareness and making more healthful food choices? I was blessed to be interviewed by my friend Victor on these topics.  It was an honor to be able to share my views on the importance of food in human emotional and physical development, what inspires me and other great topics.

 

Victor has been practising ashtanga yoga and different forms of Tibetan and Zen Buddhist meditation (?amatha-vipa?yan? and tonglen). He has lead individuals and groups in these meditation practices. Following the teachings of his mentors and teachers Gregg Cochlan and Acharya Pema Chödrön, He has been practicing growing in awareness with compassion and fearlessness. Pema teaches about Dedicating the Merit. Simply put, if something has benefited you, give it away, so that we don’t hold on to it. If we hold on to it, it is a form of ego clinging, MY success, etc., which eventually burns up our karmic seeds. Following this practice he has been doing public speaking for the past little while. Local NGO’s have invited him to speak to groups of new comers/refugees, motivating and inspiring them in general, especially the youth and adults who have language and cultural barriers, and are trying to re-enter the workforce.
