My Favourite Rebounding Routine

Let’s get into my Favourite Rebounding Routine.

Something I don’t always advertise is that, besides being a raw food chef and content creator, I’m also a professional skateboarder for Totally Rad Skateboards. Skateboarding is my lifelong passion, I started in 1985 at five years old and have had my fair share of injuries. I’m not kidding when I say it’s tough on the body—especially the joints. That’s why rebounding is an essential part of my fitness routine. It is incredible for rehabilitation and works wonders for lymphatic drainage, detoxification, and keeping my fitness levels up as I age. One of the best parts? It helps me create more balance and strength in my body, helping to prevent future injuries and maintain and even boost my vertical jump/ollies, aka pop, which is crucial for skateboarding!

My Favourite Rebounding Routine Breakdown

I like to kick off my day with a gentle bounce. After I wake up, have some water, and go to the bathroom, I head to my bellicon for a light, beginner bounce to wake up my body. I like to start nice and gentle; you don’t even have to leave the trampoline; just standing on it and bouncing up and down without your feet ever leaving the mat creates gentle g-forces that help with detoxification and lymphatic drainage. I usually bounce for 5 to 15 minutes total, starting slowly and easing into light jumping jacks.

Once warmed up, I move into some knee-high jogging in place, which is fantastic for hip flexor mobility—something that’s key for my skateboarding. Then, I switch to side-to-side jumps, waking up the ankles, knees, and hips. This is not only great for skateboarding but also for improving posture and pelvic floor strength.

Throughout my routine, I’ll mix in moves like bouncing one foot at a time to work on balance, coordination, and ankle strength. Sometimes, I get playful and add in some silly, high-knee jumps to keep it fun and keep my heart rate up. That’s one of the best things about the bellicon, it makes working out feel like play!
