Wholesale Tips for Raw Vegans – How I Buy Almost 2 Weeks of Produce for $100
Wholesale Tips for Raw Vegans
One of the biggest myths about eating raw vegan is that it has to be expensive. Here is how to flip that completely.
Eating abundantly on a low fat raw vegan diet does not have to cost a fortune. In the video above I take you inside Pure Fruit AB, the wholesale produce market I shop at here in Malmo, Sweden, and show you exactly how I walk out with almost two weeks of produce for around $100. Cases of fruit and veg, ripe and ready, at a fraction of what the grocery stores charge. Let me break down the Wholesale Tips for Raw Vegans so you can do the same wherever you are.
🛒 Wholesale Tips for Raw Vegans One: Find a Market Open to the Public
Most cities and regions have wholesale produce suppliers, and a surprising number of them are either open to the public or open to a conversation about it. The easiest way to find them is to use AI or a search engine and type something like “wholesale produce markets open to the public” followed by your city or region. You might be amazed what pops up.
Pure Fruit AB here in Malmo is where I do the bulk of my shopping and the prices are consistently around half of what regular grocery stores charge, sometimes less. A case of organic bananas, cases of tomatoes, cucumbers, broccoli, cauliflower, melons, citrus, mangoes… all of it by the case at wholesale prices. It adds up to a very different grocery bill.
If there is no wholesaler open to the public in your area, do not stop there. Call them anyway. Explain that you eat a very large amount of produce and ask what it would take to work something out. Some will say yes. Others might point you toward a local restaurant or small grocer who already orders from them and could add your items to their delivery. You could also start a small co-op with a few other raw foodists in your area and place orders together. Where there is a will there is a way.
📸 Wholesale Tips for Raw Vegans Two: Walk the Floor First, Prices Second
When I arrive at the wholesaler I do not just grab whatever is closest. I walk the entire floor, take pictures of everything I am interested in, and then go back and get the price per case on each item before making any decisions. This keeps me from impulse buying a case of something at a price I am not happy with, and it gives me a full picture of what is available and what is looking best that day.
Every wholesaler is a little different in terms of what they stock and how they sell it. Most will be primarily by the case, though some will accommodate smaller quantities once you have a relationship with them. Speaking of which…
🤝 Wholesale Tips for Raw Vegans Three: Build the Relationship
When you become a regular and they see you consistently buying cases at a time, things get easier. They get to know your preferences, they might let you know when something exceptional is coming in, and yes, occasionally they will let you sample something before committing to a case. That relationship is worth building. Show up consistently, be easy to work with, and it pays off over time.
🍇 What Does $100 Actually Get You?
In the video you can see exactly what a typical haul looks like for me. We are talking cases of tomatoes, cucumbers, broccoli, cauliflower, citrus, grapes, melons, and more. Fresh dates when they are available, which are absolutely ridiculous when ripe and juicy. Iceberg lettuce by the case. The occasional splurge, like cheramoyas or fresh longans, which even at wholesale prices feel like a treat.
The goal is to walk out with enough to last somewhere between one and two weeks, eating as abundantly as I want the whole time. That is what a raw vegan diet looks like when you shop smart. Not scarcity, not expensive specialty items, just cases of real food at real prices.I really hope these Wholesale Tips for Raw Vegans help you a ton!

🌱 Abundance Is the Point
One of the things I talk about a lot in my coaching is that eating raw vegan is a diet of abundance, not restriction. The whole point is to eat enough, eat freely, and never feel like you are white-knuckling your way through the day. Finding wholesale produce suppliers is one of the most practical ways to make that abundance sustainable long term without breaking the bank.
