The A3500 comes with five program settings (for Smoothies, Hot Soups, Dips & Spreads, Frozen Desserts, and Self-Cleaning) that automatically adjust to the container size you’ve selected, process your recipes, and stop by themselves when the blend is complete. It also comes with a manual pulse function and speed dial so that you can custom blend to your specific needs. Did you know that the Vitamix can blend so fast with its 2.2 horsepower motor that it actually can boil water? Now I don’t blend it that long to bring my food to a boil but I have been known to blend for a minute or so until it gets a little bit warm which can be really nice for some recipes. This is also helpful for the cleaning function, you just put some water and a little bit of soap in there, hit the clean button, and boom it cleans itself just requiring a quick rinse afterward!
