A More Personal Note
Blessings, Everyone; I wanted to share a more personal note today.
You may have noticed I’ve been a bit quieter lately, maybe you have, maybe not, ahah🤭🤪
Either way, I wanted to share that I’m taking a bit of a break. Don’t worry—I’m still around on my stories and catching up on emails, but I’ve stepped back from regular posts. It’s been about two weeks now, and honestly, it feels really good.

In the 17 years I’ve been running The Raw Advantage, I’ve only taken three official days off where I completely unplugged—no Wi-Fi, no work, nothing. Of course, there was also the time I had to take a break after my motorcycle accident. But other than that, I’ve always been pretty steady behind the scenes. Lately, though, I’ve felt like it was the perfect time to hit pause. I don’t have any big projects looming, and I’ve already been taking some time off skateboarding to heal a bit of tendinitis in my left knee. Everything just aligned, and it felt right.
So, about two weeks ago, my body started signaling that it was time for a water fast. I lost interest in food, and it just intuitively felt like the right moment. It’s crazy because I haven’t done a water fast in 13 years! My last one was a 12-day supervised fast with my good friends Brian and Jody Calvi in Costa Rica, and I had done a few shorter ones before that. But this one—this one feels like it’s exactly what I needed.
During that last water fast, I filmed an entire playlist that I just rewatched, and it’s a fun little time capsule from 13 years ago. It’s me, 8 years into my raw vegan journey, sharing insights, debunking some common fasting myths, and even diving into some personal stuff with a video called “Confessions of a Raw Vegan.” There’s no need to redo it—it still holds up, and I think you’ll find a lot of value in it if you’re interested in fasting or just curious about the process.

This is just a quick check-in to let you know I’m doing great—better every single day, actually. Taking this break has allowed me to recharge, and I’m feeling more excited about creating new content and projects. Some of the things I’m planning are a bit controversial, so I’ve been gearing up for that internal energy and focus.
