Frickin Rawsome Pizza Recipe – Smokey BBQ Pizza on Excalibur Website!

My Smokey BBQ Pizza – Raw Vegan Pizza Recipe
Full Smokey BBQ Pizza Recipe
Crust: Fat Free Tomato
6-7 Tomatoes – (1.8 lb / 815 g)
Buckwheat – (1/4 cup / 4 tbsp)
Psyllium Husk – (1/4 cup / 4 tbsp)
Garlic – (1 clove)
Wash and slice all of the tomatoes into small cubes, then add them to your high-powered blender, such as the Vitamix. Add the dry buckwheat, the psyllium husk, and a clove of garlic to the blender and blend until fully smooth. Pour the thick mixture in the centre of an Excalibur dehydrator tray, lined with a teflex sheet. Carefully use a large flat-bladed knife or spatula to form a round pizza crust that fills the entire tray, side to side, and is uniformly 1/4 inch thick across the surface. Watch my Crust Tips Video Here for more help. Place in the dehydrator at 118 ̊F for 4 – 5 hours (*at this time prep the toppings), turning the tray around at the 3rd – 4th hour. Once the top is fully dry, flip the crust and carefully peel off the teflex sheet. Place back into the dehydrator for 1 – 2 more hours or until fully dry to the touch on both sides but not crispy.
Sauce: Smokey BBQ Pizza Sauce
4 Tomatoes – ( 1.25 lb / 575 g)
6 Medjool Dates – (.26 lb / 120 g)
1 Lemon – (2 tbsp Juice)
Smoked Paprika – (2 tsp)
Chili Powder – (1 tsp)
Chipotle Chili Powder – (1/2 – 1 tsp) Onion Powder – (1 tsp)
Garlic Powder – (1 tsp)
Chop the tomatoes into a large dice and add to the blender. Pit the dates and juice the lemon, and add both to the blender along with all of the spices. Blend till smooth, adjusting the spice, sweetness, and tartness (chipotle / hot pepper – dates – lemon) to taste.
Cheeze: Rawkin’ Ranch Dressing
2 Zucchini – (.5 lb / 230 g)
2 Medjool Dates – (.08 lb / 40 g)
1/2 – 1 Lemon – (1 – 2 tbsp Juice)
2 Green Onions / Scallions – (.06 lb / 28 g)
Hemp Seeds or Cashews – (1/4 cup / 40 g)
Dried Parsley – (1 tsp)
Italian Seasoning – (1 tbsp)
Peel and then weigh the zucchini, chop into cubes, and add to the blender with the hemp seeds/cashews. Pit the dates, juice the lemon, and add to the blender together with the bottom whites of the green onions. Blend well till smooth. Loosely chop the remaining green onions and add to the blender with the parsley and Italian seasoning. Pulse blend a few times to mix well, leaving small bits of green onion and herbs.
Smokey BBQ Pizza Toppings:
Mushrooms – (.5 lb / 230 g)
1/2 Red Onion – (.5 lb / 230 g)
Cherry Tomatoes – (.25 lb / 115 g)
Lemon – (1 tbsp Juice)
Smoked Paprika – (1 tsp)
Garlic Powder – (1 tsp)
Great with crimini, button or portobello Mushrooms! Slice the tomatoes in half and the mushrooms into uniform, medium-thin slices, and add both to a bowl. Thinly slice the red onion and add to the bowl. Add lemon juice and seasonings, mix well.
Smokey BBQ Pizza Assembly:
Take your crust and pour 1/2 – 2/3 of the sauce on top, spreading it evenly just to the edges. Add the remaining sauce to the toppings and mix well. Pile all of the toppings on top of the sauce and smooth into an even layer. Slice the pizza into 8+ pieces using a sturdy, long-bladed chef’s knife. Carefully place each slice individually onto an Excalibur tray, slightly separating them. Place in the dehydrator at 118 ̊F and dehydrate for 2 – 3 hours, turning the tray around at the halfway point. Slide your pizza out of the dehydrator, use a squirt bottle or piping bag to add the ranch dressing sauce on top, and serve!
*Option to add extra BBQ sauce on top before serving.
